Jill Riemer is a nationally recognized leader in the Afterschool/Youth Development field, who has played instrumental and diversified roles in the advancement and growth of the youth development movement over the past several decades. Jill is well known for her early relationship and partnership building skills at the US Department of Education when the 21st CCLC program and afterschool networks were in their early stages of formation. From there, she was the founder of the Georgia afterschool network promoting advocacy, strategic collaborations and programming. Jill connects the dots from programming to local, state and federal policy, and has a unique ability to bring forces together to influence systems building efforts and future funding and policy priorities. Most recently, Jill spearheaded a few innovative school year and summer programs to reach more kids and improve impact in the STEM and social emotional healthy play areas, and is identifying ways to increase K-12 impacts through stronger university partnerships. Sports and being a student athlete were a big part of Jill’s life growing up. She was a Missouri state high school soccer and golf MVP player and winner of two state championships. Jill runs her consulting practice and offers advice, project management leadership to non-profits, philanthropic and public partners in education and the afterschool/youth development space.
